Taken 2

First they took his daughter. Now they're coming for him.

A simple continuation from the first film. A trauma stricken girl looking to be normal, a man dedicated to his career, and his ex wife. All together trying to reconnect in Istanbul for a family getaway. But due to the tight bonds of family and the love a father can have for his child, there is a man seeking revenge for the loss of his sons and grandsons.

This movie, is not as good as the first. The action is no where near substantial as the first film, the only really interesting aspect is the burning fight for revenge, the protection for family, and the need for justice. We change, we live, we move on, but when you're stricken with loss it seems it's almost impossible to continue - and may latch on to a false form of justice and or revenge.

Liam Neeson of course kicks ass, I still don't think Maggie Grace can act, and Famke Janssen played a terrific captive. If Bryan Mills had not been there to rescue her, she would have no hope in surviving, as she merely moaned in protest and managed to calmly walk with her captors to the scary windowless van in which she would surely never have returned from. (Please please, if you are being kidnapped, make it as hard as possible for your captors to handle you.)

Rating: R
Year: 2012
My R: Worth a view, maybe a pay-per view or rental. But I won't watch it more than once.
