Moonrise Kingdom

 "Jiminy cricket, he flew the coop!"

With witty sophisticated humor, we follow Sam and Suzy on their planned runaway across a remote island. An eclectic cast makes for some interesting acting, Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Bruce Willis, and even Tilda Swinton leave me surprised with the work that they do.

This film to me was a modern day Lord of the Flies. The children being a microcosm of a larger adult world. We follow a story of young love, aged love, lost love, and friendship. Two odd children who are by far mentally older than twelve make for some interesting situations. What they'll do to be with one another, how far they'll go.

A very artistic film where there are several parables to witness, along with light humor, and talented actors.
