Immortals

A film wildly reminiscent of the great '300', obviously due to the similar producers of the film. A big competitor, but in the Greek mythology department, I give this film a low score. They pass because they got the names right and the general character. But the portrayal of the Gods to me was strange, and although I liked their all-powerful attitude, it seemed like they were portrayed as God's frightened of what might happen, God's that have withered and become too old.

The effect were A+ however. I can sit through a fight scene that is well choreographed and executed. The focus on killing blows, or the simplicity of death was astounding.

All in all, this movie had fun aspects, but few concrete reasons to watch the film. A basic hero story, God's relying on a mortal... ect. Nothing you haven't heard before.

Rating: R
