Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol

No Plan. No Backup. No Choice.

While again, I do not have much taste for action films. I did enjoy this installment in the series. I was overall pleased with the carrying over of storyline from the previous films. Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, and Simon Pegg worked well on screen together, and I found them very enjoyable to watch. As each man is a adequate actor - Simon Pegg has always kept a direct line to my funny bone. And while Tom might be a little more than an odd guy, he plays Ethan Hunt like no one ever will.

The spy gadgets and creativity are definitely the highlight of the film. The technological aspects are intriguing and interacted with in such a way that you wish you could be a part of the team, if only to play with their tools.

I believe the four of them made an ultimate team, all of which functioned well together, both on screen and off screen. Everyone playing a key aspect in their well thought out plans - all while they're risking nearly everything they stand for. - But anything to save the world.

I also enjoyed the work on the Buri Khalifa Skyscraper in Dubai. Creative and worldly all in one sense. While Ethan is galavanting across the frame of the building you truly see the dedication he has to his job.

Year: 2011
Rating: PG-13
Actors: Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg
My R: Recommended for any action fan.
