Total Recall (2012)

What is real?

Sci-Fi Adventures and Dystopian societies are to always be enjoyed. Broken humans surviving on a day to day basis, the population drastically cut, the change, and the loss. To me, the only time you get to see a characters true nature is when he's exposed to something like this.

But in this particular story, even our character doesn't know who he is.

Now, I don't really care to compare it to the 1990 Schwarzenegger film. As they are both based off the same short story (1966 "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale" by Philip K. Dick,) but on their own, different. But the few references and cameos from the old film were much appreciated.

Now, I won't spend forever depicting everything, because only one thing in this movie particularly stood out to me. Quaid (Colin Farrel) is a man trying to decide what is real, and what isn't. Even when he thinks he's on to the truth, he's proven wrong. One man had to have a lot of trust and will power to continue on...

The past is only a construct of the mind.
Who we are, is who we are now.
The heart lives only in the present.

Rating: PG-13
Actors: Colin Farrel, Kate Beckinsale, Bill Nighy
Year: 2012
(Notice: The actors I usually list here, are the men and women I was most excited to see.)
