Strange Wilderness

Happy Madison Productions, A company I can always count on to provide a film with a bunch of hilarious actors. Now, this comedy was suggested to me by a friend, not something I'd go out to see, or pick off the shelf any day of the week. But the Jonah Hill and Justin Long gave me high hopes.

To make a quick point, I'd say this move was funny, but there are other more hilarious films to be watched than this one. However, if you are an avid stoner, or enjoy repeated jokes, then be my guest.

A man running a failing television show - and is too dumb to worry about it, wasn't that funny. I don't enjoy characters when they almost... pretend to be stupid, rather than a character like Alan (The Hangover) who is ridiculously dumb. The in-between isn't funny to me, only a poor attempt at being funny.

I guess I was also slightly disappointed with the potential they kept pouring into the film, and then not acting on it. They would have several key factors that could lead to some hilarity, loss of money, RV, tank of nitrus, in the jungle with no provisions. And I believe the actors could've pulled it all off. I've seen them do it multiple times, maybe it was missing Adam Sandler.

But a colorful film crew traveling in search of the elusive big foot - I feel like this is comedy gold, and they let us down.
